My Name is Michel de Haas. I'm a amateur photographer with a passion for nature, animals and birds. But occasionally I also do other genres. Based in the middle of The Netherlands locale nature is never far away.
At this moment I'm using the Canon EOS R7 combined with several lenses. For animals and birds I mainly use the Sigma 150-600mm HSM Contemporary. For the other genres, it could well be the Canon RF 50mm or the Canon EF-S 18-135mm 3,5-5,6 IS USM. And sometimes I still rely on one of my older EF kit lenses.
I started photography a long time ago for holidays and family events. But it became really serious during the pandemic, as for many other photographers. First mainly forest photography as I enjoy being outdoors. Slighty it changed into bird photography. More recently I developed an interest in street photography, capturing the things that happen in daily life.
Many of my photos are on hard drives and barely see the light of day. I made this portfolio, so there is a place for people, who are interested, to see my work.
